DoubleHelix is an emerging biotechnology company that is comitted to saving forests by barcoding trees in order to help with forest management.

Right now, DNA Technology is becoming widely popular. Many companies are currently experimenting with this technology, hoping to be able to further help the environment.

PCR is a technique commonly used to help copy one piece of DNA into many strads. PCR is short for Polymerase Chain Reaction. By taking a sample of DNA and adding primers, DNA polymerse, and heat, scientists can quickly clone several pieces of DNA.  This DNA can possibly be used to help clone endangered species or, maybe in the future, bring back an  extint species (Source 41).

Frozen Ark is a nonprofit organization that is working to save and copy DNA from endangered species. Curently theses DNA samples are being frozen until they are needed by scientists.  Scientistas are hoping to be able to clone some of theses species and defy extinction (Source 42).
